The ingredient of Beef And Fennel Filo Triangles
- 500g packet coles butcher 3 star beef mince
- 1 tablespoon garlic minced
- 2 teaspoons sea salt
- 1 teaspoon pepper
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 small bulb fennel thinly sliced diced
- 1 teaspoon fennel seeds
- 300g silverbeet washed dried roughly diced
- zest and juice of 1 lemon
- 500g ricotta drained
- 1 2 cup pine nuts
- 1 packet filo pastry
- 50g butter melted
- 1 egg lightly beaten
The Instruction of beef and fennel filo triangles
- place beef mince into a mixing bowl add garlic salt and pepper and mix well to combine
- place a large frypan over high heat add olive oil add beef mince break up with a spatula and cook until a golden colour is achieved on the meat add fennel and fennel seeds and cook for until fennel softens add silverbeet in batches until all silverbeet is wilted and cooked turn off heat add lemon zest and juice and stir through ricotta and pinenuts allow mixture to cool a little and thicken up
- preheat fan forced oven to 180 degrees
- roll out your filo onto a clean work surface and cut one third of the filo sheet into one long strip take one sheet of filo place a tablespoon of mixture in the top corner and fold over the sheet onto itself to form a triangle continue to fold the filo onto itself in a triangle shape creating several layers brush the final layer together with a little melted butter set aside on a baking tray lined with baking paper repeat with remaining filling
- brush filo triangles with a little egg wash and place baking trays in oven and bake for about 20 u2013 25 minutes or until filo is golden serve warm
