Beef stroganoff fans, this ones for you. Topped with cheesy pasta parcels, its an all-in-one dream.
The ingredient of Slow Cooked Beef Stroganoff Bake
- 500ml 2 cups massel beef style liquid stock
- 10g dried porcini mushrooms
- 20g butter
- 60ml 1 4 cup olive oil
- 450g mixed mushrooms sliced
- 1 onion finely chopped
- 1 carrot peeled finely chopped
- 2 garlic cloves crushed
- 75g 1 2 cup plain flour
- 1 5kg beef chuck steak trimmed cut into 4cm pieces
- 1 tablespoon sweet paprika
- 2 tablespoons tomato paste
- 1 tablespoon worcestershire sauce
- 65g 1 4 cup sour cream
- 2 tablespoons finely chopped fresh continental parsley
- 375g pkt fresh ricotta and spinach agnolotti
- 80g 1 cup grated three cheese blend
- micro herbs to serve optional
The Instruction of slow cooked beef stroganoff bake
- place stock and porcini mushrooms in a saucepan bring to the boil over medium heat remove from heat set aside for 20 minutes to soak use a slotted spoon to remove porcini chop return to stock
- meanwhile preheat oven to 150c 130c fan forced heat butter and 1 tbs oil in a large flameproof casserole dish over medium heat add sliced mushroom and cook stirring for 5 7 minutes until golden transfer to a plate add onion and carrot to pan cook for 5 minutes or until softened stir in garlic for 1 minute place on a separate plate
- place flour on a plate and season toss beef in flour shaking off excess heat 1 tbs oil in the dish over medium heat cook the beef in 2 batches for 5 minutes until browned place on a separate plate
- return the carrot mixture to the dish add the paprika and tomato paste cook stirring over medium heat for 2 3 minutes or until aromatic return the beef and mushroom mixture to the pan stir in the porcini stock and worcestershire sauce bring to the boil cover with a lid and bake for 2 hours uncover and bake for a further 30 minutes or until sauce is reduced slightly and beef is tender remove from the oven stir in the sour cream and parsley
- cook the pasta following packet directions until al dente drain toss the pasta in a little of the stroganoff sauce place on top of the stroganoff and sprinkle with the cheese bake for 25 30 minutes or until golden top with micro herbs if using
